Power Pep Band was established in 1999 by several former college band members who wanted to re-create the fun and excitement of the traditional American pep band. They realized there is more to playing than performing at sporting events or marching only in summer parades.
They wanted powerful horns, fun woodwind parts, wild drumming, horn swings, musical camaraderie, and getting the audience to sing and dance along.
They created the POWER PEP BAND.
Today, the ages of our members range from 20s to 80s, which has led us to one of our favorite quotes:
“You don’t stop playing when you get old.
You get old when you stop playing.”
The Power Pep Band sets out to entertain, interact, and bring energy to our audience. We have entertained people all over our great country… and beyond! From our beautiful state of Oregon, to playing at theme parks in California and Florida, to Texas-sized performances in San Antonio and a multi-award-winning performance in Canada, we are always looking for new adventures.
